How does the service work?
Town of Cornelius officials record a message that is then delivered quickly to residents and businesses registered in the notification database. The system gives users control over the types of alerts and how they receive them. Messages can be sent via text message, telephone message, or email, according to user preferences.
What types of messages will be sent using the service?
Cornelius plans to use the system for emergency and non-emergency notifications such as special events, crime, fire, traffic, and solid waste/recycling alerts.
