The Cornelius Police Department has established a Safe Exchange Zone for citizens who wish to safely conduct an online transaction. The Safe Exchange Zone is located at Cornelius Town Hall Parking Lot, 21445 Catawba Ave.  It consists of two parking spaces identified by painted lines and posted signage. Citizens are not required to sign up or reserve the Safe Exchange Zone and may use it at any time.

The area is under 24/7 video surveillance by the Police Department. We cannot guarantee all exchanges will be recorded.

Sale of items such as weapons, alcohol, or drugs are not permitted at the Safe Exchange Zone.
