[ARCHIVED] Cornelius Police Release Results from DWI Checkpoint

From 7:00pm to 12:00am on Saturday, August 19, 2017, the Cornelius Police conducted a Multi-Agency DWI checkpoint in the area of W. Catawba Avenue and Nantz Road.

Fifteen officers from the Cornelius Police Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Department, Davidson Police Department, Huntersville Police Department and Pineville Police Department assisted with the checkpoint. The Forensic Testing for Alcohol Branches' BATmobile was also on scene.  

As a result of the checkpoint, Officers made the following arrests and citations:

•1 - Driving While Impaired
•2 - Warrants for Arrest
•1 - Felony Possession of Cocaine
•1 - Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine
•11 - No Operator's License
•18 - Expired Tags
•3 - Driving While License Revoked
•4 - Inspection Violations
•1 - Provisional Driving While Impaired
•1 - Possession of Marijuana
