Cornelius residents are invited to help the Cornelius Police Department Pack the Patrol Car with school supplies for the upcoming 2012 – 2013 school year.
Now through Thursday, August 23, donations of school supplies can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm in the lobby of the Cornelius Police Department, 21440 Catawba Avenue.
On Friday, August 24 Cornelius Police Officers will deliver all the donated items among the four Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools located in Cornelius; Cornelius Elementary, J.V. Washam Elementary, Bailey Middle School, and W.A. Hough High School.
Recommended supplies include paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, scissors, binders, pocket folders, hand sanitizer, tissues, back packs and lunch bags.
