On Thursday, July 23, 2015, Officer John Macon was named Employee of the Quarter for April to June 2015.

On May 3, 2015, the Cornelius Police Department was experiencing an increase in vehicle break ins throughout our town. Officer Macon processed a vehicle which had been broken into and was able to lift several fingerprints. These fingerprints were later identified and a known suspect was charged and arrested.

Officer Macon's attention to detail and training in crime scene processing was crucial to the investigation and led to the clearance of multiple open cases.
