On Friday, November 21, 2014, Lt. Jennifer Thompson of the Criminal Investigations Division completed the North Carolina Justice Academy Management Development Program.
The Management Development Program (MDP) provides an innovative curriculum that is designed to examine the complex issues of law enforcement management. The goal of this program is to develop management and leadership skills which are fundamental to the criminal justice leaders of today.
The program consists of topical modules, each five days in length, which are scheduled over an 11-month period. Simulations, case studies, and skill practice exercises conducted during module attendance require participants to demonstrate - and receive a critique of - learned management skills. Such instructional activities create situations in which participant-peer interaction is essential, intense, and stimulating.
Congratulations Lt. Thompson!
