Bring your pet inside before the fireworks start. Many pets are lost during Fourth of July festivities because they are running away from noise.

Put your pet in a quiet, dark place. A room where none of the fireworks flashes can be seen or heard and a place that is familiar.

Distractions can help, like a treat or favorite chew toy!

Background noise can help ease the situation. Nothing too loud; soothing music or keeping the television on.
