On Wednesday, March 12, the Cornelius Police Department participated in the first ever Career Day at William A. Hough High School.
The event was open to the entire student body and gave students an opportunity to explore various career opportunities. Career Day was co-sponsored by the Future Business Leaders of America chapter and the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at the school. Companies and organizations were on hand to provide first-hand knowledge of real-world careers.
Sgt. Connors, School Resource Officer Lawing, and Cornelius Police Planner Christina Tadlock attended the event on behalf of the department. They spoke with students that were interested in careers in Law Enforcement, Communications and Public Safety.
