[ARCHIVED] CPD Swears In New Officers

Swearing In Ceremony 03.10.15

On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, Officer J. McClellan and Officer D. Quackenbush were sworn in to the Cornelius Police Department.

A native of North Mecklenburg, Officer McClellan has previously served at the Granite Quarry - Faith Police Department and Davidson Police Department. Officer McClellan has his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate and is a Specialized Firearms Instructor through the North Carolina Justice Academy. He has been in Law Enforcement for 14 years.

Officer Quackenbush is a 2014 Graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. A native of Huntersville, Officer Quackenbush had an internship at the Cornelius Police Department from January to May of 2014. Cornelius PD then sponsored him to attend Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) at Central Piedmont Community College. Officer Quackenbush completed BLET in December 2014 and received the Distinguished Honorable Graduate Award.
