On Friday, July 19, 2013, Cornelius Police, with the assistance of the Huntersville Police Department, arrested 11 individuals on felony illegal drug related charges during "Operation Summer Heat".
Over the past several months, CPD has conducted undercover operations and seized a variety of narcotics from these individuals. Undercover purchases were made from 14 individuals resulting in 60 felony warrants.

While searching for the suspects, Rosetta Walker was arrested and charged with Misuse of 911 for calling in a false call for service regarding a possible shooting in another area of town in an effort to distract officers from the operation.
