On Monday, March 4, 2013, Sergeant Crosby, with the Patrol Division of the Cornelius Police Department, was awarded his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the N.C. Department of Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
Crosby graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training with honors in June 2002 from South Piedmont Community College in Monroe, NC. He was hired as a Patrol Officer at the Cornelius Police Department in October 2002 and became a Field Training Officer in 2005. In 2007, Crosby was awarded an Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate. He was promoted to Sergeant in December 2009.
Sgt. Crosby's training includes Financial Crime Investigation through the U.S. Secret Service, Drug Interdiction through Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Weapons of Mass Destruction/ I.E.D through the Office of Domestic Preparedness. Sgt. Crosby also has extensive law enforcement training in Death Investigation, Fraud, Arson, Advanced Crime Scene Academy, Vice Investigation, Radar, Intox EC/IR II, Taser and Spanish for Law Enforcement.
