The Cornelius Police Department, with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security and the Huntersville Police Department, conducted a narcotics search warrant on several locations in Cornelius following a lengthy and continuing investigation. During this activity yesterday a vehicle pursuit ensued down I-77, but was terminated by CPD officers due to concerns about safety. Another vehicle was stopped and searched.
As a result of these search warrants for evidence, police seized an as yet undermined weight of marijuana, cash in excess of $25,000, five luxury vehicles, various electronic devices and several firearms. So far, two arrests have been made, including:
