As concern about the COVID-19 outbreak continues to grow, the Town of Cornelius has made adjustments to several Town meetings, programs, activities and events. 

The Cornelius Police Department has made the decision to temporarily close our lobby to the public, however, our services are still available for you. 

The Cornelius Police Department is temporarily suspending the service of taking pre-employment and other non-criminal fingerprints for the public.  

We have made the decision to cancel all of our dates of our Coffee/Q&A with a Cop series indefinitely. We hope to be able to continue this series at a later date.

The CPD Traffic Safety Team has cancelled the dates for the Permanent Child Passenger Seat Checking Station. We are accepting appointments regarding child passenger seat checks. You may schedule an appointment by calling our department at 704-892-7773 and asking to speak with Sergeant J.J. Sarver. 

Town officials are closely monitoring this rapidly changing situation, and will continue to align with the direction provided by government and public health authorities.
