Public Health Partners with StarMed Healthcare to Provide Second COVID-19 Vaccine Doses

Mecklenburg County Public Health (MCPH) is partnering with StarMed Healthcare to provide second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Appointments for the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine are ONLY for individuals who received their first dose of the vaccine with MCPH.

“This partnership ensures that there are enough appointments available for individuals to receive their second COVID-19 vaccine dose and allows Public Health to continue to administer first doses of the vaccine as quickly and equitably as possible,” said Public Health Director Gibbie Harris.

Individuals who received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine from MCPH and need to schedule their second dose appointment (due 21 days after the first dose), can visit https://starmed.care/ to make an appointment.

Individuals who already scheduled a second dose COVID-19 vaccine appointment through MCPH do not need to schedule a second appointment through this system. More information is available at www.mecknc.gov/COVID-19.

Due to limited vaccine availability and the need to follow COVID-19 safety precautions, second COVID-19 vaccine appointments through StarMed Healthcare are required for all eligible recipients.
