Pickleball

Overview

Pickleball is a fun and increasingly popular sport that resembles a mix between tennis, badminton and ping-pong.  It is played using a perforated plastic ball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. This very social sport  is easy for beginners to learn and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Outdoor Play
There are painted pickleball lines on the tennis courts at Torrence Chapel Park (21309 Torrence Chapel Road) and Robbins Park (17738 West Catawba Avenue). At each of the tennis courts, there are stand-alone pickleball lines to be used with our tennis nets. There are additional lines painted at Torrence Chapel Park (6 courts) and at Robbins Park (4 courts), which require the use of portable pickleball nets. Patrons are welcome to bring their own portable pickleball nets to use on these courts. Please note that the portable nets located at both sites are the property of Lake Norman Pickleball Association. Enjoy!
