Divisions

Administration

Administration is responsible for the overall operation of the Police Department, including budget and planning processes.

Communications

Communications provides Enhanced 9-1-1 services to Cornelius, Huntersville and Davidson College and serves as a Regional Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

Field Operations

Field Operations includes the Patrol and Special Services Divisions. This bureau provides the fundamental response to crime.

Records Division

The Records Division maintains, reviews and distributes all police reports as well as provides statistical reporting to the state.

Support Services

Support Services provides a significant array of services including Investigations, community-focused planning, logistics, training, recruiting and accreditation.
