What's Happening

Easter basketHOP on over to Robbins Park on Saturday, April 1, from 2-4 p.m. for Hop Into Spring! This annual family event will include a visit with Peter Cottontail, a glitter tattoo artist, kids' inflatables, crafts, music, and an Easter Egg scramble. Don't forget a camera for photos and a basket for the scramble!
Tawba2 Painting.jpgVisit Downtown Cornelius on Saturday, April 8, from 2-8 p.m. for the next Tawba Walk Arts & Music Festival. This free event features local vendors, live music, food trucks, kids' activities, and more!
Egg-stravaganza 2023Register to enjoy our new, Magical Egg-Stravaganza, on Wednesday, April 12, 7:30-8:30 p.m. It's a magic show with Professor Twist, followed by a flashlight egg hunt! Cornelius residents can register starting March 30 for $4; non-residents can register starting March 31 for $8. For children ages 3-8 and their parents or guardians. Pre-registration is required, as spaces are limited.
Earth DayJoin us at Robbins Park on Saturday, April 15, 4-7 p.m., for Earth Jam 2023! Enjoy free "green" activities including craft, demonstrations, wildlife habitat improvements, nature walks, live musical performances, and more!
Hooked.400We are partnering with Lake Norman Wildlife Federation to offer TWO events at Robbins Park on Saturday, April 29, for ages 7-12. First, Hooked on Cornelius, 10-11 a.m., a free educational opportunity to learn how to fish and about fishing safety. Up next, our inaugural Cornelius Fishing Derby! This NEW, friendly fishing competition will have prizes, a raffle, and more! $10 for Cornelius residents/$12 for non-residents. Separate registration is required for each event, and space are limited.
Hoop DreamsNew! Middle School Hoop Dreams: Looking to improve your basketball skills? Then this six-week instructional skills clinic is for you!  Sessions will be Saturdays, May 6-June 10, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Bailey Road Recreation Center, and focus on dribbling, defense, shooting, and more. For boys and girls ages 11-14. Cornelius residents $40/Non-residents $50. Registration required.
SummerCamps2023View our 2023 Summer Camps Guide listing over 70 camps spread over nine weeks, for ages 4-16. Registration is underway! Many of our half-day sports and recreation camps are sold out, and all full-day camps are sold out. Don't wait any longer!
MFC LogoThe 2023 Mayors' Fitness Challenge has officially begun and registration remains open. Over the six-week challenge, participants from Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville will compete to see which is the fittest town!  Record your active minutes each week to help Cornelius win the back-to-back title!
