Based upon the current street prioritization study the following streets will be resurfaced this year. The Town Council authorized the use of $480,000 worth of Street Specific Powell Bill funds to resurface Town maintained streets. This list below represents the initial public bid list for street resurfacing. Due to the economic conditions the Town was able to get a very good price for asphalt resurfacing and additional streets will be added to this list as the paving begins. Please check back to see what streets are added. In order to keep up with the growth and new traffic patterns the Town will be performing an update to our street prioritization listing this summer.

The Street Resurfacing project has begun and the contractor is paving the streets according to the order on the list above. A Connect Cty message will be sent out to your neigboorhood prior to the paving with the  message below and signs as shown below will also be placed in the paving area.

The Town of Cornelius will performing street resurfacing in your neighborhood over the next few days. This two step process involves removing the existing roadway and then installing a new road surface. Typically there is at least a one to two day lag in these steps. At all times the road will remain safe to drive on but please allow more time for travel and watch for directions from the flag men.
