The Cornelius Arts Center offers a variety of film screenings and events throughout the year through partnerships with local organizations and individuals with expertise in the film industry. We have shown many films in our art house cinema with great success. We look forward to continuing to grow this fantastic program through more partnerships and innovative program concepts. We are currently planning our film program schedule. Check back soon to see what we have in store for the spring and summer seasons! If you are interested in becoming involved in our film program, please email the center's manager.

The views and opinions expressed in all films screened at the center are those of the creators and do not necessarily reflect the official position of The Cornelius Arts Center. The center screens films to promote important conversations and support independent filmmakers.

Upcoming Film Events
The Hornet's Nest is a 2014 American documentary film about the Afghanistan war, directed by David Salzberg and Christian Tureaud.

The film follows two journalists, a father and son, embedded with a group of United States Armed Forces troops sent on a mission into one of Afghanistan's most hostile valleys. The three-day mission becomes an intense nine days of fighting against the enemy. Armed only with their cameras, Peabody and Emmy Award-winning conflict Journalist Mike Boettcher, and his son, Carlos, provide unprecedented access into the longest war in U.S. history.

The screening will feature guest speakers and opportunities for the community to learn how they can offer assistance to local veterans. Donations from this event will support Purple Heart Homes.

Doors open an hour prior to each screening for a gallery & wine reception. Special thanks to Cornelius Today who will be sponsoring wine & cheese during the events!
