The Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture (PARC) Department works to enhance the lives of citizens and visitors by providing great parks, natural areas and recreational experiences, from sports leagues and fitness classes to summer camps and art classes.  Don't see what you like?  Make a suggestion! 

What’s Happening
Winter Birches
Explore the Cornelius Arts Center: Our remodeled Center features great art exhibits, classes and workshops for all ages!  We are now registering for Winter Classes and have many exciting, new options for all ages. Classes begin in January but register now! Read more.
Light Up Cornelius Join us on the lawn at Cornelius Town Hall for Light Up Cornelius on Saturday, November 29, 4:00-6:00pm. There will be entertainment, activities and a visit from Santa, too! We will light the tree at 5:30pm.
Community Garden Interested in starting a community garden, perhaps in your own neighborhood or on town-owned land? We are excited to introduce the Cornelius Community Garden Grants Program. Deadline to apply: December 1, 2014, 4:00pm.
Santa at CAC On Friday, December 5, come to the Cornelius Arts Center to meet Santa and enjoy a variety of holiday-themed art projects and refreshments. Your child will enjoy making ornaments, paintings and much more. Don't forget to bring your camera! 10:00am-12:00pm
Fitness Classes View our list of Arts, Athletics, Recreation, Special Events and Special Needs Programs.  Register now for the next sessions of our popular fitness classes, including a new fitness class: PiYo!
Smithville Park playground We offer a variety of Parks, Recreation & Arts Centers and Trails & Greenways for your enjoyment. Read more about renting a shelter, field or court.
Robbins Park Trail Robbins Park Phase III:  Pardon our mess while we grow! Construction is underway and for your safety the nature preserve trails and both ponds are closed to the public through March 1, 2015. The tennis courts, playground, picnic shelter/restrooms and multi-purpose field will remain open throughout the construction process. Nearby Jetton and Bailey Road Parks offer walking trails and Ramsey Creek Park and Blythe Landing offer fishing opportunities.
