All interested adults are welcome to participate during these Saturday sessions, regardless of whether or not they are participating on a league team. | Adult Badminton 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Adults may drop in on Sunday afternoons for badminton at the J.V. Washam Recreation Center located at 9611 Westmoreland Road. This opportunity is great for recreational players and adults interested in learning a new sport or jump-starting a fitness routine. |

| Town Board Meeting 7:00 pm - The Town Board of Commissioners meet the first and third Monday evenings (unless otherwise noted) at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Room, Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Avenue. The Town Board normally convenes a Special Meeting to review the agenda items and a Pre-Meeting just prior to the regular Town Board meeting. These meetings are open to the public and held as follows: Special Meetings - 8:00AM at Acropolis Restaurant Pre-Meetings - 6:00PM at Town Hall in Room 204 |

| Cornelius Veterans Monument Poker Run 8:00 am - The American Legion Post 86 is holding a Poker Run to help raise funds for the Cornelius Veterans Monument. The ride starts at 9AM (with the last car/bike out at 10AM). Registration begins at the future site of the Veterans Monument, near the intersection of Catawba Avenue and Hwy. 115 in Cornelius and will end at Mac's Speed Shop located at 19602 Liverpool Parkway. The run will include a scenic country ride, 5 entertaining stops, prizes for best/worst poker hands, 50/50 drawing, and raffle prizes. Click here for more information. |
